Andy Lipman
Andy, thank you for taking time to speak to our club yesterday. You gave one of the most inspirational speeches I have ever heard. No one [else] ever got a standing ovation after their speech in my 27 years at Kiwanis."

I would highly recommend Andy Lipman as a speaker for your group! He is very adept at sharing his story about living with cystic fibrosis – the challenges, opportunities and real life experiences. You won’t be disappointed and will come away with a much better understanding of this disease and how you can help us get closer to a cure.

In September 2002, Andy Lipman gave the closing address at the inaugural National Conference on Birth Defects, Developmental Disabilities, Disability and Health. This conference celebrated the establishment of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s new National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, and was attended by hundreds of public health professionals, academic researchers and families living with disabilities. The conference was exciting and filled with emotion, and included a gala event with Dana Reeve as Mistress of Ceremonies and Eunice Kennedy Shriver being honored with an award. New scientific research was presented and innovative prevention strategies for birth defects were shared. Playing the role of closing speaker after such an event-filled week was not an easy task, and Andy was to follow the presentation of the newly appointed Surgeon General Richard Carmona. But Andy stole the show. As a speaker, he epitomized the human impact of the issues that the conference was addressing from a scientific perspective. Not only that, he epitomized the optimism and spirit that should guide the work of any public health or medical professional. He was passionate, he was thoughtful, and most of all he was inspiring both on a personal and professional level. It would be my honor to recommend Mr. Lipman as a public speaker to anyone who wants to truly understand courage, joy and the power of living life to its fullest potential.

Every one of us was excited about Andy's inspirational presentation. Many of our members stayed after the meeting to visit with Andy on a one on one basis. He stayed until all questions were answered and comments voiced. Indeed, Andy is one who can motivate.

"For CEOs, success is measured by market share and profitability, but when they heard Andy Lipman's presentation, "Against All Odds," they realized a far more significant measure: Survival. Andy's talk with my CEO groups reached deep inside, detailing a story of not only of survival but also of commitment(he has raised more than a million dollars for a charity named in memory of a sister who died of his same dread disease),and did so with grace and humor and without being maudlin."

We recently invited Andy to speak at our annual CF education day at the University of Missouri CF center. Andy’s down to earth, and honest style was very well received by staff and families alike. Andy’s openness and honesty about his struggles with CF, and how he decided to take life into his own hands was very inspiring to everyone. Our families rated his talk very highly, and I heard many families discussing the topic long after it was over ! His mentality about fitness and health even inspired one of our patients father’s to begin his own exercise regimen the very same night. Andy is a positive role model to people living with CF, and I would highly recommend him.

Andy Lipman is an inspirational human being and speaker. His talk at our Kiwanis club brought us all to our feet - a feat almost unprecedented in my eight year tenure of attending weekly meetings with speakers. He shared and explained a potentially uncomfortable subject, previously unknown to most of our members, to light in a touching, humorous, and artful way. I cannot recommend him enough.

Andy was a delight to have in my fourth grade class, and his mental and emotional strength as well as his discipline and determination is truly inspirational. I have thoroughly enjoyed keeping in touch with Andy, and I am so very proud of all that he has achieved. His accomplishments are many and his cause is great! After Andy wrote his first book,Alive at 25, I asked him to come speak at Mount Vernon’s 8th grade graduation, and he was not only a compelling speaker, but also quite obviously possessed a servant’s heart in his support for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

We thoroughly enjoyed Andy's speech at the 2011 Chipper Jones Celebrity Golf Invitational. Andy did a terrific job inspiring the audience and helped us to raise more money for a cure. I highly recommend Andy if you'd like to motivate your team, your clients or your employees. His story, and even more importantly his message, will not disappoint.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you, Andy, and to compliment you on your motivational presentation in Whites Hotel Wexford for the National Cystic Fibrosis Conference. You are a great role model for CF patients. I also liked the idea of you wearing the mask and staying safe. I read your book 'The Drive at 35' over the weekend and I loved your honesty and directness. As a mother of a 26 year old son you told it 'as it is' and no bells and jingles.

We were honoured to have Andy Lipman as our guest speaker at the 2012 annual conference of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland in Wexford, Ireland. Andy’s speech really set the tone for the conference. He gave a powerful address full of hope and his struggle over adversity, drawing from his personal experience. He included moving tributes to the support of his wife, Andrea, his family and to the inspiration he continues to draw from his baby sister Wendy who died from CF. Andy is a powerful role model and we will continue to follow his work and writings with interest as he makes a major contribution to raising awareness about CF not only in the United States but increasingly in the wider world.

Andy's story is full of courage, inspiration and hope and provided me with a new perspective on the attitude required for a successful outcome to life's most challenging days. Andy's presentation style was particularly effective and I believe almost anyone could relate to him, regardless of his or her circumstances. When you support Andy, not only will you and your group greatly benefit from the experience, you’ll also support his quest for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. I highly recommend Andy as a speaker and motivator for any organization.
